Extensions add new space to your home by expanding its existing footprint, whether through rear, side, or double-story additions. They are a popular way to increase living areas, create open-plan layouts, or add extra rooms without moving. Extensions seamlessly blend with your current property, enhancing both its functionality and value while allowing for customised design features.
Refurbishments involve updating and improving your home by modernising kitchens, bathrooms, and finishes, enhancing layouts, and making internal structural alterations. This process revitalises your property, addressing wear and tear while increasing comfort, energy efficiency, and functionality. Refurbishments offer a cost-effective way to transform your living space without the need for extensive external structural changes.
Outbuildings are versatile structures that can be added to your property, such as garden offices, workshops, or studios. Typically built separately from the main house, they provide additional space without the need for major alterations to your home. Outbuildings are popular for their flexibility, allowing homeowners to create functional, customised spaces that enhance the property's overall utility and value.
Small scale new build dwelling planning options include side garden plots, which utilize adjacent space next to an existing property; backlands plots, which develop land behind existing properties and are accessed via a shared driveway; and infill plots, which focus on constructing homes within vacant or underused urban spaces. Obtaining planning permission for a new dwelling unlocks the full potential of land, typically increasing its value to 40% of the completed house's sales price.
Loft conversions transform unused attic space into functional living areas, such as bedrooms, offices, or playrooms. This type of conversion is an excellent way to add value and square footage to your home without altering its footprint. Loft conversions are popular for their ability to maximise space, offering a cost-effective solution to growing families or those needing extra room.
Flat conversions involve transforming a single property into multiple self-contained flats, making efficient use of existing space. This process is ideal for larger homes or period properties, maximising rental income, or accommodating extended family. Flat conversions can significantly increase a property's value while offering a practical solution to the growing demand for housing in urban areas.

The homeowners of this Victorian terrace house in Leyton wanted a large open plan living area to be used for cooking, entertaining and relaxing. This was our primary goal when designing this rear extension. Our client wanted high spec details such as a recessed niche to house the TV and ‘plastered in’ downlights which give a quality feel.
Externally, the extension is relatively traditional in style with a pitched roof, soffits and fascia boards. The addition of bi-fold doors leading onto a patio merges outdoor and indoor spaces and provide the perfect area for entertaining or a barbeque.
The owners of this Victorian terrace house wanted not one but two extensions - a rear extension and a side return extension. The design is simple but includes interesting architectural features such as a ‘gable ended roof’ and parapet walls to give a high-quality external look.
Inside, the structural steels were left exposed to bring just a little sprinkle of the industrial style into an otherwise sleek and modern kitchen. Recessed LEDs in the ceiling were also added to enhance the modernist feel.
These Greenwich homeowners wanted a larger kitchen and to create an environment where they could spend more time and socialise with friends. The addition of a side return extension provides a more open space, and by including three rooflights the natural light further enhances this spacious feel.
Our client wanted to achieve a uniquely quirky look and the introduction of two small windows staggered at different heights contributes to this. Inside, a high specification was chosen throughout with the inclusion of electronically opened rooflights, plastered in downlights, a ceiling extractor bulkhead and granite worktops.
